Biography
Joshua Mlodzianowski, born and raised in Schenectady, New York, founded the band Filming Ohio at age 15 in 2006, quickly booking over 200 shows by 2009. During this period, he refined his stage presence at a local bar's open mic night. In 2009, Josh was awarded significant scholarships, including the Conrad Kuchay Award and the Henry M. Butzel Family Foundation scholarship.
Josh pursued music education at SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music, where he performed in various classical and jazz groups and opened for Streetlight Manifesto with a ska band. After college, he revamped Filming Ohio into Stockade Kids, infusing hip-hop elements and releasing the album "Wax Wings" in 2013. Over the next five years, Stockade Kids performed extensively across New York, sharing stages with acts like the Village People, Gin Blossoms, and Blues Traveler.
In 2017, Josh founded Stockade Entertainment Group, LLC, supporting artists like Justin Friello and Scottie Monaco. He then joined the wedding band Funk Evolution as a saxophonist and rapper. Later, he pursued a Master's in Music at Youngstown State University on a full scholarship, gaining experience in festival organization, teaching, and social media management.
Currently, Josh is an adjunct faculty member at Washington College, teaching saxophone and clarinet. He has spent 15 years shaping the future of western art music through genre blending and is now pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Maryland College Park as a graduate assistant to Dr. Tim Powell. His previous teachers have included Dr. James Umble, Dr. Robert Young, Dr. Christopher Creviston, and Linden Gregory. He has participated in masterclasses with Dr. Jan Berry Baker, Donny McCaslin, Dr. Geoffrey Diebel, Dr. Connie Frigo, and Dr. Clifford Leeman.

Josh can be heard throughout Stockade Kids songs playing saxophone. Most notably soloing over the second half of “Last Day of His Career” He also is featured singer on the track “I know.”
Josh helped produce Scottie Monaco’s album Jackie and can be heard playing saxophone throughout the album. He also sang and wrote the song “Momma.”
Josh can be heard playing saxophone throughout Justin Friello’s album Reaction Formation with a major feature on “King of The World.”
